Betway Sports New Customer Offer Terms & Conditions
Betway (Betway Group) have operated since 2006, when the company was established by a group of betting fans. There’s not a great deal f information out there about the group as in relative terms its still quite new. They are however slowly hitting all the right headlines with some big stories. In 2015 the gave away a record £13.2m on a lot game which was recorded as a Guinness world record for an online win. They have procured a number of high profile sponsorship deals with West Ham Utd FC, Various Horse Racing Meetings and a variety of TV shows amongst things.
As an offering they seem to be doing all the right things, in a market where the standard of delivery is high, Betway seem to have hit the ground running and provide a service that meets consumer expectations. They’re somewhat heavy handed with their advertising and remarking, but that’s to be expected from an aggressively growing company. You can easily opt out of marketing.
The Betway group offer you Sportsbook betting, casino, slots, bingo, poker, live casino, esports, vegas themed betting and much more.
Betway are doing a great job of establishing themselves in a saturated sportsbook world. They're quickly becoming a household name which is important. The site is presently basic, but they do the basics well.
- Very clean site which easy site to navigate
- A good welcome offer
- Easily opt in/out of marketing
- Clear promotions with visible terms
- Wagering on most bonuses
- Basic solutions, like cashout
- Lots of aggressive off sight marketing
Bonus, Offers & Promo Codes
Betway offer a welcome bonus of 100% matched deposit, which gives you a free bet bonus on your first deposit. This is matched up to £30 and you must deposit a minimum of £10 within 7 days of joining. Always check the terms and conditions for caveats within the the bonus. On this occasion you will have wagering requirements imposed on your withdrawals and betway reserve the right to investigate your bets before you withdraw your first amount, should they suspect anything suspicious.
The Free Bet Club
You can opt in to the betway free bet club, so that when you spend on “specific markets” you may well get a weekly bonus for fulfilling betting circumstances. What that means is if you spend x amount on certain best regularly, betway will give you a bonus. You can read more about it on their site. But again their are terms, conditions, caveats etc that you really should check out before agreeing to be part of this club, for your sake, it is something you have to opt in to.
Betway plus is a cute piece of branding for all the available offer they have on site, there doesn’t appear to be anything specific about betway plus other than the page that identifies all the offers available to customers who join and play at betway. The betway plus concept is simply a way of showing you that they offer additional features, offers, deals to existing members as well newly registered users. Now to the naked eye it does look like betway have a tonne of deals on the go here, but be wary, you may have to fulfil certain criteria to access these offers. For example, play a slot game and unlock a £5 free bet and so on, every time you do this you are then likely to fall into a wagering trip with the bonus. So once again check out all terms and condition with every bonus you pick up!
Inplay & Cashout
There’s a good in-play system on betway offering all the major events, markets etc and with some obvious filters, you don’t have to scroll through a sports to eventually land on the event you’re interested in. The fact that you can access in-play and nearly every sports category with such ease is a real plus for betway. The in-play staging area also teases with some up and coming events that may interest the customer or impulse them to spend a little more. The avid user often thinks about where they may spend their winnings or where their next bet is, so these cute little suggestive bets are a nice touch, albeit a little bit of an interruption for the in play gambler.
As expected with this kind of brand they offer a useful cashout service, which is common. They don’t seem to have the partial cashout service and again it will come with terms. Cashout appears to be available on football and horse racing multiples but this is at the discretion of the operator. Its a simple service without the over complications, they give you basic cashout services.
The website is clean and easy to navigate, the identity runs throughout and you get a feel for the brand in all areas of design. Sections are clearly labelled and theire some great additional menus to help you find your way around some of the more popular sections. Big icons help you find the most important categories like football, tennis, cricket etc and the sliders help you move through easily as if you were scrolling on a tablet or mobile.
Mobile & App
Betway do have an app, but it doesn’t appear as a promt when you access their site via a mobile or tablet device, so you’ll have to search for the betway download area (its not in the iTunes store or Google play). Which means if you navigate to their site directly on a mobile device, you are using the main website in responsive mode. With that said after downloading the app, I couldn’t find a great deal of difference between the main site and the app itself. So to summarise, it depends on your preference, the app gives you that quick link on your phone to open easily, but if you spend that split second longer finding their mobile site, the experience should be very similar. For now, I can’t see an innovative reason to prioritise using their app over their website.
Whilst I’ve had no reason to contact betway customer services, they appear to be transparent and helpful in the support services they offer. They have clear guidance on contacting them at the bottom of every page and a contact page full of FAQs, the contact form pops open straight away giving that as immediate option and they appear to be accessible via email, live chat or a phone call.
